intro

I've been skateboarding a ton this past year, and it's been a blessing. It's been painful too, and it delayed a ton my other projects, including music making. But it was such a dopamine source too. I met incredible people, some of the best folks down here. I moved a lot, finally proceeded to explore my city. Here are some articles on thoughts about skateboarding, whether it's about a trick, a product or a video.

I used to skate a lot as a teenager. It seemed cool to me. I remember walking by the local skate spot age 12-13 seeing those low-life teens with huge early Metallica shirts, holes everywhere on their 4 sizes up baggy jeans, grinding some stair set rail. I remember thinking "woa, their moms gotta be angry!" Yet this was the coolest thing I could think of at that time.
And then my friend showed me some Rodney Mullen clips, Round 3. This shit was serious. Mullen, Misled Youth, I was playing those non-stop as I started skating more and more.
And then I just quit. Just like that, no more skateboarding. This was easily one of the top 3 mistakes of my life.

I quit skating for more than 10 years, now going back to it. Full throttle. And I'm not letting it go this time.
